				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="p1"><b>Edge Entertainment can proudly present the acquisition of the high-profile fashion documentary <i>The First Monday in May</i>, which opens the Tribeca Film Festival this Wednesday, April 13th.</b></p>
<p class="p1">In <i>The First Monday in May</i> filmmaker Andrew Rossi captures an extraordinary collision between haute couture and celebrities at one of the biggest fashion events in the world. Together with the Vouge Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, and Andrew Bolton, the curator of The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, we get to watch the preparations of the famous MET gala and the latest exhibition ”China: Through The Looking Glass”. We also get to hear celebrities like Baz Luhrmann, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Karl Lagerfeld, Wong Kar-wai and Rihanna share their views in the documentary.</p>
<p class="p1"><i>The First Monday in May</i> is a high-profile documentary in the vein of <i>The September Issue</i>, from the team behind the critically acclaimed documentary <i>Page One: Inside the New York Times</i>.</p>
<p class="p1">&#8220;We are thrilled to have secured the rights to the fashion documentary of the year: <i>The First Monday in May</i> and we do look forward to the world premiere at Tribeca” says Ignas Scheynius, Chairman of the Board at Edge Entertainment.</p>
<p class="p1"><i>The First Monday in May</i> is distributed by Magnolia in the US, and will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. Edge Entertainment has acquired the rights from Elle Driver for Scandinavia, Iceland and the Baltics and will premiere in the region by late 2016.</p>

<p class="p1"><b>The Innocents </b>by Anne Fontaine which became one of the most buzzed about titles at Berlin<span class="s1">’</span>s EFM following the acclaimed world premiere at Sundance. Acquired from Films Distribution for Sweden, Finland, Iceland and the Baltics as well as the Pay TV rights for Denmark and Norway.</p>
<p class="p1"><i>Poland, 1945. A young French doctor crosses paths with a nun in need of help. Entering into the convent she discovers that the nuns have been subjected to a brutal assault and she becomes their only hope.</i></p>
<p class="p1"><b>Suburra </b>by Stefano Sollima is an intense mafia drama in the vein of Gomorrah that recently premiered in Italy with great results. A TV series with the same name and produced by the same team has been commissioned as a Netflix original series premiering in 2017. Acquired from Indie Sales for Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland as well as the Pay TV rights for Finland.</p>
<p class="p1"><i>A gangster known as &#8220;Samurai&#8221; wants to turn the waterfront of Rome into a new Las Vegas. All the local mob bosses have agreed to work for this common goal. But peace is not to last long.</i></p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Edge Entertainment has just acquired Jonas Carpignano’s debut film Mediterranea, which also was awarded three prizes at the Stockholm Film Festival.</p>
<p>Mediterranea (international sales NDM) by Jonas Carpignano opened the Stockholm Film Festival earlier this month. Mediterranea was awarded three prizes at the festival’s Awards ceremony: Best Actor Koudous Seihon, Best First Film and the Telia Film Award. Mediterranea will have its Swedish premiere January 29 2016.</p>
<p>Edge Entertainment has acquired Mediterranea for Sweden, Finland, Iceland and the Baltics.</p>
<p>Edge Entertainment also acquired The Wait (international sales Pathé) directed by Pierro Messina, starring Juliette Binoche for Scandinavia and Iceland. The Wait had its world premier at the Venice Film Festival and comes from the producers behind The Grand Beauty and Youth.</p>
<p>Edges titles The Wolfpack, Maryland, Bolshoi Babylon, Palio and Valley of Love also screened at the Stockholm Film Festival and will have Swedish premiere winter 2015/2016.</p>
